We are pleased to invite you to a presentation by Prof. George Curry, Assoc. Prof. Gina Koczberski, Steven Nake, Merolyn Koia, and their team, who will share insights from their research amongst smallholder families in Papua New Guinea.

In this presentation, they will explore the impact of agroindustry initiatives in oil palm to increase smallholder productivity by promoting gender equity in oil palm management, food security and family welfare on oil palm land settlement schemes. They will report on two key initiatives: a separate payment scheme for women, and a new oil palm replanting strategy that dramatically improved food security for smallholder families. The broader implications for sustainable development and gender equity will also be discussed.
